WEDDING | SACRED HEART CHURCH, PETONE | SILVERSTREAM RETREAT
They have known each other since school age and have almost watched each other grow. Their sisters were best friends. Back then, Aidan was just “the little brother of my sister’s best friend” to Karly; and Karly was just “the little sister of my sister’s best friend” to Aidan.
Years later, they became friends, and then best friends, then partners; and on the gloriously beautiful day of the eleventh of the eleven, twenty-eleven, surrounded by their families and closest friends, Aidan and Karly became husband and wife.
It has been weeks now since their wedding, yet the memory of how that day transpired still remains vivid in our minds — how Karly tried her hardest not to cry while she was being done to be a very beautiful bride, how Aidan’s mom made sure his four boys looked their finest, how hard we all laughed during the bridal party shoot, how elegantly the tables were made in the reception, how the speeches brought tears to eyes and most of all, how very warmly we were welcomed that day.
Our bride was stunning beyond words in her ivory gown from Astra Bridal. Special mention to Paula of Salon 10 for her hair. We highly recommend her place, check it out in 10 Tui Street, Alicetown. The place will speak for itself.
It was in Sacred Heart Church in Petone where Aidan and Karly vowed to forever love each other — the same church where Karly’s parents got married thirty-plus years ago.
We got to spend a good hour with the bridal party and it was an hour well-spent. Awkward moments, there weren’t any. They were very relaxed and “at home” in front of our cameras and we felt the same around them.
We love how elegant and rustic the venue, Silverstream Retreat House, was.
Aidan and Karly,
We lost count of the times you and your families thanked us that day. You are very welcome! Now, we wish to take this chance to thank YOU for letting us be part of your wedding. More than a privilege. it was an honor to have been chosen to document the day you begin your happily-ever-after. We wish you well. Stay in love.
