Last August we flew to Jakarta, Indonesia to spend time with Meeko’s family and friends. It was the highlight of our year and one of the highlights of our stay is having these two stand in front of our cameras. Because these two are just too special to us three.

Mario, is Meeko’s youngest brother — almost like the baby in the family when Lucia (our daughter) is not in the picture.

Ribka is my pseudo sister. The younger sister that I never had.

One fine Saturday, we decided to go for a long drive for a wee escape from the busyness of the capital. We drove to Ribka’s hometown, Bandung and spent the entire day just appreciating its beauty and peace. And of course shopping in between and eating between shopping. It was the most perfect way to spend the last Saturday of our stay.

This is an unplanned shoot hence no make up, no hair done and as they say in Instagram, #nofilter. Amazing though how beautiful the photos turned out. Perhaps it was the “real” factor that made them so and of course, that special something they both share.

Definitely that.

We miss you both so much. Thank you for the happy days you have given us during our stay there. Mario, thank you for moving out of your room for us. Ribka, thank you for being everything rolled into one. Thank you for making these photos with us too. They bring lots of beautiful memories. Each time, they make us want to just fly back there.

I am sure  though that you will give us a very special reason to. SOON.
