ENGAGEMENT | UPPER HUTT

It was far from typical how they met and started going out. It was our bride-to-be who made the first move of asking for our groom-to-be’s phone number that night when they were first introduced to each other.

It all started from there and seven years after, they’re marrying each other.

Here’s our first February couple, Emma and Dan.

Getting to know Emma and Dan has been A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! They booked us online and after a thread of very brief e-mails, we knew they were an awesome couple who would be a breeze to work with, but when we met them in person (for the first time) for their engagement session, they well-over exceeded our expectations.

Usually, when we do engagement sessions, it is just the bride and the groom but Emma and Dan requested to take their “babies” as well, Shatzi and Malibu. Emma has warned us that they may not be well-behaved and (Redge) being an Early Childhood educator knew what to expect from two-year olds.

Shatzi and Malibu made it very obvious at the beginning that they didn’t like our cameras looking at them or the mere fact that we were just meters away from them. Emma and Dan’s constant kisses and cuddles were their pacifiers and by the time we wrapped up the session, they were angels.

Emma and Dan, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Thank you for choosing us to photograph and document what may be the most special day of your lives. We really look forward to your wedding in one of our most favorite towns here in New Zealand. Thank you too for taking us to these places we never even knew existed. Send our thanks and love to Natasha too, and tell her we’re sure no matter what color of dress she decides to wear when she gives you away, Emma, she will look gorgeous.
