They went to the same school in Malaysia and have known each other since first grade. Yes, since first grade and they attended the same school until high school. Yes (again), until high school. Back then they weren’t even friends. They really just knew each other and it was not until 2008 when they came across each other again (somewhere in cyber space) that they realised they wanted to know each other more and what do you do when you realise the one person that makes you really happy is 3,217 kilometres away? You follow. She was based in Adelaide then and he, in Wellington and after coming to visit New Zealand that year, she decided to stay.

That was six years ago and after being engaged for almost two years, she walked up the aisle to meet him in the end.

Our dear Ken and Mel, it was such a treat seeing these photos again because they took us back to your incredibly happy day in an instant. Thank you for having us as your photographers. Your wedding was so much feel-good and we’re very grateful that you allowed us to be part of it. Thank you too for gracing our home and for bringing a gift for our little one even before he was born. You both have been a pleasure to know and work with and we thank Lester and Jo for sending you our way. We really hope that you can visit our home again and that you can stay for a tea or coffee when you do. We wish you all the best in life.
