They have been together for three years when he proposed. We thought it was very special how he did and more so, what he gave. When he asked her to marry him, he handed her the ring that his late grandmother gave him — to give to “the one”. Overwhelmed, realizing she is “that one”, she said yes.

That was three years ago.

And on a very beautiful day in Autumn, in the equally beautiful Tarureka Estate, after six years of being together, they finally married each other surrounded by their family and closest friends. The wedding ring that Chris put on Steph’s finger was that of her late grandmother’s and that itself was already too special.

It had been raining and storming days before their wedding. They feared for the worst and had a Plan B all ready but on that day, the sun was at its brightest and there really could not have been a more perfect day to start their forever.

Chris and Steph, thank you first of all, for visiting our booth in the Wellington Wedding Show. It’s really humbling when you said that you made sure that you booked the band that you love and the photographers that you want. That really made our hearts ten times bigger. Thank you for inviting us to be part of your most special day. To have been, even in that little way, really was an honour.

It was so nice  having you both in front of our cameras. There’s no denying how in love you are with each other and it made clear how strong a foundation you have built in that six years that you have been together. We’re  sure both your grandmothers were celebrating in heaven that day seeing you both make true your dreams.
