I have this huge smile on my face already and I am just about to start writing about this wedding. Seeing these photos again gives me nothing but happy thoughts.
Jon and Queency, you have been waiting very patiently for this, we know. I hope that these photos take you thirty-nine days back when your happily-ever-after officially began.

Jon and Queency married in the beautiful Wallaceville House surrounded by almost a hundred guests. All significant to them. Queency’s parents flew from China and some of Jon’s relatives and close friends from Singapore to join them in this celebration. The day was filled with so much joy in the form of tears and laughter. Queency took about ten steps towards the altar on her own and met her parents halfway. When she held their hands, it felt like she was saying, “you can let me go now, but I still need you”. It was such a touching scene that almost brought tears to many and then in a snap, laughter was heard when a gust of wind blew her veil. It went so high and stayed in the air for quite awhile. The show went on, and so did the tears and the laughs.
We thought we have known this couple well enough after exchanging e-mails and messages in our Whatsapp group, doing their engagement session and, them coming over our place one night. But there was so much more to discover and appreciate about them and all that, we realized on their wedding day. Weddings, they’re supposed to be about the couple. That, I know, but Queency and Jon made it about the people around them, even about the people working for them. They were, from start until the end, catering for their guests and vendors. Their own needs came secondary. Others’, their first and that act selflessness made them both extremely beautiful and adorable that day.

Jon and Queency, I was silently admiring you the entire time. Jon, I know you weren’t feeling a hundred percent that you were almost losing your voice. It did not show at all. It was amazing how you were all around making sure everyone was okay, even us. Thank you for getting up from your seat to make sure we have already eaten. Oh, and that speech you made for Queency’s parents and how you tried to deliver it in Chinese, that is gonna be hard to top. Queency, you probably didn’t realize that you were touching my heart the whole time. I cry easily and a lot and I have been to a few weddings as a photographer when I had shed tears but I think it was on yours that I cried the most. When you were staring at Jon as he read his vows, as well as when you were saying your vow, and right after the tea ceremony, you made me cry. But when you turned to look at your parents and said your piece, I welled up. It didn’t even matter that you were speaking in Chinese, I think everyone knew what you were saying. Everyone felt what you were saying. I really think that if there is a role you play best, it is being a daughter and I am sure that that is one of the million reasons why Jon asked you to be his wife.
Thank you for everything that you were before, during and after the wedding. We hope this does not end here. You should come over our place again. I owe you a better cup of coffee, Jon and you Queency, a warmer cup of tea. You guys have been really wonderful and we really thank God for sending you our way.
Much love. Redge (and Meeko, who’s obliged to watch Disney Channel with Lucia while I work)
